The internet is a marvellous place. Here are a few websites that I’ve come across recently and reckon are worth sharing with you. In their own words:

Over two years, Postulate One will document 5-7 visionaries, all under 30, who are working on a unique solution to the global issues of microfinance, education, and the environment. As the stories unfold, they will bring perspective on these issues to our viewers through the lens of their individual struggles. They are human interest stories that viewers can watch in real time, participate in and have the power to influence. Postulate One will serve as a platform that enables viewers to build direct relationships with the visionaries, and support their cause by sharing media, offering business connections, or donating.
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Adbusters is a not-for-profit, reader-supported, 120,000-circulation magazine concerned about the erosion of our physical and cultural environments by commercial forces. Our work has been embraced by organizations like Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace, has been featured in hundreds of alternative and mainstream newspapers, magazines, and television and radio shows around the world. Adbusters offers incisive philosophical articles as well as activist commentary from around the world addressing issues ranging from genetically modified foods to media concentration. In addition, our annual social marketing campaigns like Buy Nothing Day and Digital Detox Week have made us an important activist networking group.
